Shiva’s Fire

The title of my story is Shiva’s fire the author of Shiva’s Fire is Suzanne Fisher Staples. The setting is a small village in India, with a girl named Parvati she is my main character.

The village is very small and homely. It has many huts that are made of mud and stone. This time period there is a king. They worship many gods and goddesses, for example before Parvati starts to dance she asks the permission of the Bhuma Devi to strike the earth with her feet. They believe in many gods including the Bhuma Devi.

Two actions that changed Parvati’s life are her dancing and going to the dance academy. She was all for adventure. She explored the palace with her future husband. She was to go to the academy for a year. During that time she goes through many troubles. She had to decide if she wanted to go to the dance academy or stay with her family.

In conclusion, Shiva’s Fire is a very good story for others to read. It’s very well written out and understandable. I loved the story and its setting, it made me more interested in India and it’s citizens. I would defiantly recommend it to other students.
