Summery: In my book I have read about a man named Aquila, and in the beginning it said that he was at the edge of a cliff looking over the family farm. He had bean away for some time. When he had come back he was describing the family farm and how it had changed over the period of time he had bean gone. After that he had bean with his sister in a big field and he had shown a tattoo of a dolphin on his arm so that when he had bean gone even longer the people in his family would not forget him.
Strategy: I predict that Aquila will not be forgotten when he goes or if he goes into the battle because of the dolphin tattoo.

They started talking and ignored the thing in the tall grass but after a wile the thing popped out of the grass and it was a man. The blind dad called the man to come over to were they were sitting. The man had to of known the father because the man said “good evening master, how are you today?” The man was sent to give a message. When the man left the farm they herd horse prints coming torts them so they went inside to eat supper. When Aquila went outside the talk to the man outside on the horse the man gave him a message saying he had to go on duty.
Strategy: I predict that Aquila will go on duty and he will get seriously hurt or killed.

Once they go ware they were supposed to go they noticed that it was very empty but there were weird sounds. The reason he had to go down to that place was because they were being withdrawn from Brittan. Aquila had to put on his uniform to get ready for battle he put his sword in his holster and he said, ”my sword is very cold and smooth. Before he had gone into battle many people said, ‘he is like two people or two men.’
Strategy: I predict that when Aquila goes into battle that he will not die and he would save Brittan.

He started to cry and he realized that he belong to Britain and that is were he was soposed to be. Later that night he saw his fahers farm and walked into the door and his father siad "who is there, Aquila is that you?" Aqulia siad "yes father itis me and im not going to go to war with the Clytemnestra because Britain is were I belog and were I amsoposed to be.
strategy: I think that Aquilas boss or cammander will make him go into batle and Aquila will be killed if he does not go.

When he walked into his fathers house after a wile their dog starts to bark and growling at something outside and Aquila and his family thought that it was just the wolves outside that he was growling at. Then Aquila realized that it might not have bean the wolves and he got out his sword from his sheath and he stood by the door ready for action. That split second something called a Saexon burst thought the door and did this high pitch scream and Aquila attacked the Saexon and there was a fight with the family and the creatures. Aqulia had bean stabbed rite in the chest and when he looked up at his father which was blind and he was on the floor and Aquila thought he was dead so the stabbed the Saexon and striped it. Then they tide it on the tree for wolf bate and when they went back into the house they saw that the father was not died but had been stabbed.
Strategy: I think that the Saexons will return and that when they do that then Aquila and his family will be ready.

The next day when Aquila had come outside his general had come around the corner when Aquila was standing there and the general had said, ‘Aquila come here a second will you I got a favor to ask you will you take this bucket down to the river and get me some water?’ When Aquila had said yes he had token the bucket to the river and when he was down there he had her something in the bushes but he had ignored it and went on with what he was doing when all of a sodden water had hit his face. When he had turned around eh had noticed that he was surrounded by men with weapons.
Strategy: I predict that Aquila will have to fight all those men by him self and when he has killed all of those his general will walk out of the bushes and ask him what happened and why era all of these men dead he will tell him but he will not believe his story.

Later that day Aquila got into an argument with a man named Thorkel about how he should not sail on the sea-snake, which is a bout, in the Saxon river because he would be betraying his own people and family. Aquila had noticed that the man that he was talking to was one of the people that had burned his house and killed his father and took his sister so he got mad at the man and walked away. When the war bouts came back Aquila realized that if he would have gone to war he would of have died because the bout he would bean on had blown up.

So far when Aquila went out side he saw the same old man by his house and the old man was Tanatus’s grandfather, Tanatus was the man that Aquila was talking to and got mad at. Aquila had noticed that the young boy was not one of the people who had killed his dad and took away his sister and burned their house down. So Aquila got to know the old man and his grandson and they had wanted to be in the fight against the Saxons. So later the next day they found out that when the wild geese flew over the house than the fight was about to begin. The old man was very sick and when he had got all of his armor on and went outside to watch the geese fly over the house he died. Then the grandson of the old man said to Aquila all the things that he wanted that had belonged to his grandfather. When he had said that he wanted something called The Dolphin Aquila said, “no way” and look at the girl standing next to him and said to the young man, “you are not ready for that young one.’’
Strategy: I predict that the Saxon battle will begin to soon for Aquila.
In the book the The Lantern Bearers written by Rosemary Sutcliff, there is a man named Aquila and he lives in Great Britain. In these next few paragraphs I am going to tell you about these things, the settings, and all about my main character and what he looks like.
I didn’t really understand what the author was telling me about the setting but the place is in Great Britain. And in that time frame in my book my main character was in a war the places they lived in were not very big and they smelt weird and they were like a cottage. Their close were not very thick so they were sometimes cold. Their homes were not very big.
The main character had long black hair that was kind of stringy. Also he had hypnoses blue eyes that when you look into them you feel as though you were going to just fall asleep. He also has a sister names Felix. Aquila was very tall, tallest man in his family, and he had a dolphin tattoo so people could recognize him.
Those are just some the details about my book and what my character looks like and the setting. I like this book because it is a war book and I really like war books. Also because I really like Great Britain.
